Was Feroz Khan’s uncle lured over money?

    ByRiaan Roux 7 October 20267 October 2026

Unnamed sources now say Preggy Padayachee, the uncle-in-law of fired Crime Intelligence Major General Feroz Khan, was lured to the R21 over money and that his murder had nothing to do with Khan. The police say the motive is unknown and nobody has been arrested. Khan’s lawyers treat the shooting as a threat to their client and have tied his evidence to the Madlanga Commission to security arrangements. Both positions cannot be true, and the commission’s final report is due on 25 January 2027.

Hannetjie van Zyl, 55, was attacked while opening her farm gate on the Doornpan road outside Ottosdal in the North West on the evening of Monday 5 October 2026, and died of her injuries. It was the second attack on the same farm. After the first one, in July 2020, 3 suspects were released on a warning, and the police docket said nobody was assaulted and it was not a farm attack. FF Plus leader Dr Corné Mulder has asked President Cyril Ramaphosa to acknowledge and condemn farm murders. The police have arrested nobody.

News24 fact-checked Crossed Out. What was the fact-check for?

    ByRiaan Roux 2 October 20267 October 2026

News24 published a fact-check of the Lex Libertas film Crossed Out on 1 October 2026 and found familiar claims with little new evidence. I compared the article with the film and found 1 speaker who was out of date on a trade ranking, while several of News24’s own sources are old, disputed or incomplete. News24…

On 26 September 2026, Lex Libertas planted about 3,000 white crosses on the National Mall in Washington, nearly every one carrying the name of a person murdered in a farm attack in South Africa.
